The vision of the Design and Learning Centre is to make care better for people, by 'making out-of-hospital care safer for both citizens and professionals'.
The Design and Learning Centre was initially developed as part of the NHS Integrated Care Pioneer Programme. This was a national programme which aimed to explore new and innovative ways of delivering health and social care in an integrated way. The Design and Learning Centre is a collaboration between the NHS and KCC.
To create an online focal point for health and social professionals. The objectives of this project were to develop a website to provide information on the Design and Learning Centre, along with a discussion forum for registered users, similar to Facebook. The site had to have a CMS for members of the team to make minor amendments.
We were also tasked with running a monthly marketing workshop for reviewing and refining the project, to be held with members of the Design and Learning Centre team.
A new way of thinking about integrated care. We ran a discovery workshop to identify the audience's needs. We distilled our research, thinking and scribbles into a plan of action. Our design team created the website look and feel, while our in-house development team worked on developing the site.

We found the process of setting up our website to be really straight forward with all the support we needed. The help and support we have been provided with has been really great and very professional. We are really pleased with the website that has been developed and the ongoing support from Flourish.
